PA Enhanced Driver Education Program Guide

The Pennsylvania Enhanced Driver Education Program Guide (Guide) was originally published in July of 2000 and developed under a grant provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation and Education.  The Guide provides program administrators with information and direction in establishing standardized driver education programs.  Likewise, teachers and school administrators will find the Guide to be very valuable in developing a driver education curriculum.  To request a copy of the Guide email nstekovich@pa.gov or telephone at 717-787-9841.

Please note that school districts and local educational agencies are required to incorporate the Driver Education Content and Performance Expectations, as adopted by the Department of Education, into driver education curriculum programs.  The Expectations can be found on this web page.
